"Their" Doxies and Testimonials...continued, page 7

A little Dachshund trivia---did you know that Doxie puppies are born flat-faced (like all breeds of dogs)?  It's so they can nurse.  But, for years, I have had fun telling people, especially children, that Dachshunds are kinda naughty---they tell little lies, and that's why their noses grow longer!

Also, in 2011 and early in 2012, these sweet Doxies found new loving homes.

My gorgeous Wendy, one of my adult females who had produced some beautiful babies, went to live with her new mom, Patricia, in Junction City, Oregon.  And is she ever getting a "new" life!  Check out her before and after pictures.  Patricia sent a bunch of photos of Wendy in her new home, including one with a cat whom she dearly loves.  (She didn't even know what a cat was before leaving here!)

Little Wallea "Lilly" went to live in Bend, Oregon, with her new mommies, Olivia (16) and Megan (6).  These two girls saved and saved to earn enough to pay for their new puppy.  They came to see her when she was 7 weeks old and fell in love with her.  Two weeks later, when she was old enough to leave here, they came back and could hardly believe how much she had grown!

 Black and Cream Puppy

Violet, an adorable little Cream, went up to Longview, WA, to join everyone for Christmas.  Julie wrote, saying, "Violet is a real sweet heart!!!  We love her lots and she is a great addition to our family!"

This gorgeous Cream puppy, now named Boone, was adopted by Sharon and Tom from Bend, Oregon.  He should feel right at home---Tom used to be a Dog Show judge!  Hey Boone, you were one sweet puppy while you were living here!!!

Yvonne (a breeder of Miniature Dachshunds), who lives in Maupin, Oregon, came to get this little guy, whom her husband, Craig, originally named Willy.  But he didn't seem to respond to that name so they changed it to Jack (maybe more German-sounding) and now comes-a-runnin'.  Yvonne wrote, "His personality is just fantastic.  I have never gotten a pup that integrated so quickly into the "family.""
