Puppy Information
Summertime is such a fun time to introduce a new puppy into your family. The longer, drier, and warmer days make everything so much easier. And if you have a responsible child, what a great time to start a "bonding experience". Miniature Dachshunds are so easy for a child to handle and care for---and if allowed, are great little bed partners at night. They love to snuggle! Just remember, Doxies should never jump off beds or sofas/couches (not good for their backs). That can be part of their training. I think we all know about kids loving dogs and vice versa. And more and more people are "discovering" Miniature Dachshunds!!!
A smaller dog, like a Dachshund is such a blessing. No more lugging a huge dog to the Vet's---something some people don't think about when getting a small puppy that later will grow up to be large and heavy. And a Doxie fits well in a car for trips and vacations. I am absolutely convinced, after being so involved with these little "kiddoes" that there is nothing better than a Dachshund. Please see "Mine Once, Now Theirs" (pgs. 1-5) to see what some of my babies look like now that they are all grown up. The Creams, my specialty, are absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!

All puppies are AKC Full Registration (unless noted otherwise).
Full Registration gives the owners the rights to show and/or breed their dogs.
I choose to use the Limited Registration for puppies who are discovered to have any type of genetic defect because I do not want them to be used for breeding. Even a tiny little overbite is undesirable for showing or breeding. But, these little "kids" still will be wonderful pets!
I release my puppies when they are 9 weeks old. Prior to that time, they will have had their dewclaws removed, been wormed, will be current on their shots, and will come with a signed Health Certificate from their vet. All puppies (and older dogs) whelped prior to 2010 have been micro-chipped, and this was a perk for my buyers. But the prices have skyrocketed for micro-chipping, and with my prices having to be lowered on all my puppies due to the economy, I no longer offer this "freebie". (If you would like to have your puppy micro-chipped at 7 weeks, please let me know ahead of time.) All puppies will have spent 2 weeks being individually crate-trained at night and should be fairly familiar with a litter box.
A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to "hold" a puppy. At the time of purchase, that amount is deducted from the selling price.
Puppies can be shipped by air---see "Contact Us" page for more details.
